Competitor Monitoring Overview
Rove's Competitor Monitoring tool lets you track price movements, stock changes, ratings, reviews, and delivery shifts for specific products. There are two ways to set up monitoring: through Tracker Alerts within a category, or through a Watchlist for products across multiple retailers.
Tracker Alerts (Within a Category)
If you're already tracking a category in Competitor Intelligence, you can set alerts on individual products within it. Navigate to Tracker Alerts at the top of the page, select the category you're interested in, and identify the competitor you want to monitor.

Configuring a Tracker Alert
Once you've selected a product, you can set alerts for a range of triggers: price changes (up or down, or by a specific percentage), promotional activity, stock moving in or out, and delivery changes.

For each alert, you choose whether you want to be notified by email or through on-site alerts only, and how frequently you want the product checked - daily or weekly.

💡 Tip: If price is your primary concern, a daily check gives you the tightest pulse on competitor movement. Weekly works well for broader monitoring where you don't need to react immediately.
When to Use a Watchlist
Sometimes you'll want to monitor products that sit outside a specific Amazon category — perhaps a bulk list of competitive products, or even your own products. This is where the Watchlist feature comes in.

Watchlists also extend beyond Amazon. You can monitor products across Amazon, AO, Argos, B&Q, Currys, Asda, John Lewis, Tesco, Wayfair, and many others.
💡 Why this matters: Monitoring your own products helps you optimise marketing spend. There's no point pushing budget behind a product that's just gone out of stock — especially if your internal systems don't always talk to each other.
Creating a Watchlist
To create a watchlist, select the retailer you want to monitor and give the watchlist a name. You can choose whether the watchlist is visible only to you or to everyone in your company.

Next, set who can see this Watchlist when they access the platform: either only you or the whole of your company and then check the delivery address and time of refresh, then hit create watchlist.
If your plan includes more than one check a day, the Schedule step also shows How often. Choose Once a day, Morning and afternoon, Three times a day or Choose the hours. Checks run at least two hours apart, up to the number your plan includes for that retailer. Each check is compared with the one before it, and alert emails name the check they come from, such as 3 alerts at 12:00. Contact support@go-rove.com if you need more than one check a day and we can look to adjust your plan.

Setting Watchlist Alerts
Within your watchlist, you need to configure what you want to be alerted about. The available alert types depend on the retailer and the data available — but typically include price movements and stock changes. For example, you might set a price alert to trigger whenever the price moves up or down by 10%. Depending on the retailer, you can check Price, Promotion, Stock and Delivery. To add the next alert hit, 'add another condition'.

You then choose who receives the alerts. You can set yourself as a recipient, and you can also invite colleagues by adding their email address. They'll receive an invite to subscribe to the watchlist and will then get notifications alongside you.

💡 Tip: Adding your colleagues to a watchlist means everyone stays on top of competitor movement without needing to check the platform manually.
Adding Products to a Watchlist
Once your alerts and recipients are configured, add the products you want to monitor. You can do this by uploading a CSV file or by pasting in product links directly. Hit Preview Import, and the platform will take a couple of minutes to import and set up all the products, depending on the size of your list.

Starting Daily Checks
Once your products are imported, hit Start Daily Checks. From that point onwards, you'll be alerted whenever anything changes — keeping you on top of the category and ready to respond.
You can change any of your settings at any time by going into the watchlist settings.
